Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Eira (helloeira.com), operated by Caroline Strømhylden ENK, org. number NO915614620MVA, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway (“we,” “us,” “Eira”).

By purchasing a story or otherwise using this site, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Eira provides

Eira creates a personalised audio story for a child, based on details a parent or guardian provides about a specific situation the child is facing. Stories are generated using AI text and voice technology and delivered by email as an MP3 file after payment.

Eira is a storytelling tool intended to help children emotionally prepare for everyday challenges. It is not a medical, psychological, or therapeutic service, and is not a substitute for professional advice. If you have concerns about your child's wellbeing, please consult an appropriate qualified professional.

2. Orders and payment

Payment is processed securely through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details. Prices are shown in USD at checkout.

3. Delivery

We aim to deliver your story by email within 2 hours of purchase — in practice, most stories arrive within a few minutes. If your order does not arrive, or fails to generate correctly, contact us at hello@helloeira.com and we will resolve it — by resending your story once it's ready, or refunding your payment if we're unable to deliver it.

4. Acceptable use

When submitting details for a story, please do not include content that is abusive, illegal, or intended to harm yourself or others. We reserve the right to refuse to generate a story, and to decline a refund, where submitted content violates this.

5. Intellectual property

The Eira name, branding, website, and underlying technology are owned by us. The story you purchase is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use by your family — you're welcome to keep, share, and replay it as you like, but you may not resell, redistribute, or use it commercially.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

7. Refunds

If you've received your story and you're not happy with it, email us at hello@helloeira.com within 3 days of delivery and we'll refund you in full — no questions asked.

8. Changes to these Terms or the service

We may update these Terms or change, pause, or discontinue features of the service from time to time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway. Any disputes will be handled under Norwegian jurisdiction, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply in your own country of residence.
